At least some of the stand alone pieces are nice. I don't mind the RE-modded ones, It's the down right reskins that piss my off

. They better have decent Necro Armors in the spots I havent seen yet cause I already forgot about my warrior.

Considering its using different models, UV maps and textures.

Its not a simple reskin.

This one is quite original. The "feel" is similar to the old one though, because its a similar silhoute.

A crocodile is an alligator reskinned.
A dog is a wolf reskinned.
A Dove is a pigeon reskinned.

I guess people just wanted "radical departure" so damn much. *shrug*

Anet's lack of passion for GW:EN really disappoints me..we, fans, pay for our product and we DESERVE what we pay for..not a bunch of reskins of monsters, armors, weapons, etc..it is ok if they want to focus on making GW2..but we waited for more than half a year..and what we got in the end is a total disappointment..with half a content of every episode of GW..a lameass ending to the GW series..

Seriously, what happened to the team that created prophecies out of nothing? Now that was an accomplishment. I wonder why they think that GWEN is worth 80% as much as prophecies. Kinda makes me sad...

The armor in Eye of the North just isn't as NEW looking as the armor from Nightfall/Factions when they came out, and then unlike previous games, they link drawn out, boring time sinks to it all.
Maybe it's just me, but it's somewhat insulting to a player's intelligence. Rehash existing models, and throw time sinks on it and expect the players to drool over the "new armor" to rush to grind faction.

When it was decided to drop GW and start making GW2, but make 1 more expansion, I'm betting the enthusiasm wasn't too high anymore for creating fresh new models for GW.

I have to agree with the guy saying you guys are pissing and moaning. I have been checking the armor and such as it becomes available on wiki and yeah, a lot of it is similiar, but there is only so much you can do with clothing. It isn't like they are going to bust out with brand new omg shit on an expansion. Seriously, it's not even manditory armor, you don't HAVE to get it.

Quite a list.

Big difference in my opinon, however, is that these were really well done reskins. I thought that the ones in GW:EN were very very very nasty reskins (I mean christ, look up at that warrior monument armor).

I think we've just been spoiled with Factions: 100% authentic armors.
